Whee, I'm back!

As mentioned in the last update, this time around sees the additon of the first expansion pack, World Adventures, so there are a few new things here and there to shake things up again. And so far, so good, on the stability front. *knocks cautiously on wood*

I know, I know, bad me! Sorry! Been distracted by other games. Shame on me!

One note, there was a game patch partway through this update, although it mostly affects gameplay things, not things you'll really see much of on that end. Probably. The biggest thing it affected so far on the reading end is that it made the game more unstable, and I had to play some bits three times before managing to get through fatal-bug-free, which made the lapse between posts even longer than it had to be. -_-

That does it for this update. And next time, there will be a happy fun install of World Adventures, the first expansion pack, and we'll see how that effects the lives of our happy Canids! Or at least sees it it makes the game any more stable. Or makes it so that I can't play at all for a while. Wish me luck!

Yay, it's me again!

I'm trying to keep going and not slip behind again, and the fact that I have a new computer now to play with helps things. XD One quick note before jumping back into the Legacy though - the first Sims 3 expansion should be coming out soon, so I have no idea how that'll affect my Legacy! It should at least shake things up a bit... but we'll see.

Sorry in advance if it takes me a while to really get back into the groove, so to speak!

Yeah, I slipped and fell way behind, sorry. But now I'm getting a new computer in a couple days, so I'm in a bit of a rush to get something up at least, so that once I get the Sims 3 up and running on my (slightly faster, so it should hopefully be easier to play through) new rig, I can start back up again. Assuming I can manage to get my save file backed up and put onto the new computer...

So anyhow, since it's been so long (too long) and I'm on a time limit, I'm just going to pretty much give the highlights, and work on fleshier entries more like the previous ones once the new set-up is completed. I'll try not to get behind like this again, sorry!

Alright, I didn't really have anything ready for today so I'm going to review something I'd been playing somewhat recently (and meant to review anyhow).

(And yes, I'm realizing that I'm way slow on my Legacy again, will hopefully get something up soon. Tonight or tomorrow hopefully.)

Wow, it's been longer than I thought since I updated my Sims Legacy, I'll be getting around to that. But in the meantime...

This is the first of my non-Sims, general gaming posts for this blog. So if you tend to read for my Sims Legacy, feel free to skip over. Or equally feel free to read and participate, it's up to you. ;)

I haven't done Monday Fun in a while (and keep meaning to do it more regularly again), so I'm going to do something a bit different for this post. Rather than either an online link or one specific review, I'm going to broaden out and give some of my top recommendations for games on each (semi-vaguely-recent) platform. Or rather, it was intended to lean more toward a "everyone should try these games, whoever you are" post, but I think is probably leaning more toward a "these are my own personal picks, and you should at least give them a look, although they might not be up your alley" post.

Discussion, and addition of your own recommendations in comments is, of course, encouraged! Likewise asking about a game you'd like to know more about. If I didn't like talking about these things, I wouldn't bring 'em up!

I'll be aiming for at least three for each in general, just for a nice round number. (And I like the number three!) May vary slightly, and may especially go over, if there are just a lot of top games for the system.

Sorry it's been rather quiet here for a bit. Sickness over the weekend + being distracted by various other things for a bit = no post for a bit longer than I'd like. Blah.

Anyhow, it's time to wrap up this generation, so since we're going through a larger amount of time (and frankly a lot of the days were just plain boring in between the fun stuff) let's put it on fast-forward a bit this time around. At least in parts - I'll be more merciless about summing up some of the activities, without pictures. Especially toward the end of the entry.
